Melbourne Street, Salford 7

Melbourne Street, Salford 7.

Amelia Michalik’s family lived at 27 Melbourne Street, from 1953 until the street was demolished in 1999. In the 1970s, some Salford University students campaigned to save the street from demolition, resulting in half of the street staying up until the 1990s.
